HAPPY new year everyone!! I’m back to work today, so I thought it was a good time to get back to blogging. Spending the week away in the country allowed me to let go of any residual anxiety from the working year (life in Sydney can get pretty hectic and I am a prairie girl, after all!), and free my mind. I got r e a l l ll y into wedding research (dresses mostly) which was fun, but then brought me back to a place of feeling overwhelmed and anxious- ha! There is a SO much choice out there, it really almost can spoil a girl. I do need to stop the research now and start making some decisions and ticking things off the wedding list…which is very long, despite trying to keep it small.
We are spoilt for choice as far as honeymoon destinations go as well- which led me down another internet rabbit hole to the top 20 heart-shaped islands of the world, (naturally). I am already putting more pressure than usual on the honeymoon to be some extra special romantic holiday, even though we travel all the time and it’s not as if it will be our last trip ever; why not make it on an island shaped for romance? Ha, kidding. They are pretty cool looking though, plus I love finding heart shapes in the world anyway, so I love them just because. These are my faves of the bunch:
1. Galesnjak Island (Lover’s Island) – Croatia. We actually are thinking to maybe do Croatia, so this may have been how I ended up here!
2. Makepeace Island – Australia. Close to home and apparently, you get the entire island to yourself- say what?!
3. Blueberry Island – Canada. The Canadian version of your own private island, the only thing on it is a log cabin- yes please! I’d stay there for the name alone 
4. Isla Corazón (Heart Island) – Argentina. An island on a lake, pretty cute.
5. Tupai Island – French Polynesia. This one is the clincher; a turquoise, palm lined lagoon on a heart shaped island in the middle of paradise. Yowzers.
